Hi All,
Due to various issues, it looks like the AKA Rally series on Speed will not be coming to fruition this year. I've struggled personally with different options to make this work, but unfortunately have not yet had success. We have been working with a broker to pitch the show to other networks. We're also working on what should be a great DVD.
We entered this year's event with a signed agreement with Speed Channel for a 6-episode series. We've come to learn that in the world of TV Production, even a signed contract does not guarantee that the content provided will ever go to air.
I've really put my all into the AKA Rally over the past 5 years. I've lost a significant amount of money at this point, having had to cover all production expenses out of pocket, and trying to stretch our low entry fee to cover more than it should have. I'm sorry to all of you if you've been put in a difficult position as a result of this. I can surely relate.
I also hope that everyone enjoyed themselves this year. The event is supposed to be a good time for all involved, and I hope the positive experiences that everyone related to us in Vegas will be how you remember the event.
